Orange curd with strawberries is a sweet pastry that will serve you as a dessert and breakfast. Due to the cottage cheese and the abundance of fruits, such a cake is nutritious.
It is necessary
- - 400 g of cottage cheese;
- - 250 g of wheat flour;
- - 230 g butter;
- - 200 g of sugar;
- - 10 g vanilla sugar;
- - 10 g baking powder;
- - 4 eggs;
- - 1 orange;
- - a pinch of salt.
- For registration:
- - 200 g of strawberries;
- - icing sugar.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the orange, remove the zest from it with a vegetable peeler, and squeeze out more juice from the pulp. Combine cottage cheese with softened room temperature butter, add orange juice and chopped zest. The zest can be cut into thin strips or rubbed on a fine grater.
Step 2
Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Add the dry mixture to the curd-butter mass, mix with a mixer.
Step 3
Whisk raw eggs with vanilla sugar and plain sugar. Add the resulting mass to the curd-flour mixture, mix gently with a spatula.
Step 4
Grease a dish with a diameter of about 23 cm, sprinkle with a small amount of flour on top, so that later the finished curd is easier to remove. Put the dough in a mold, smooth its surface. Place in a preheated oven.
Step 5
Bake the orange curd at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Then cool it without taking it out of the mold. Only when the pie has cooled completely, transfer it to a serving platter. Put halves of fresh strawberries on top of the curd, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
