Pear taten is a classic French flip-flop pie. If you don't have pears on hand, it doesn't matter, you can use apples or any other fruit instead. This cake will add French sophistication and charm to any tea party.
It is necessary
- - two pears;
- - 3 tbsp. spoons of honey;
- - 4 eggs;
- - 150 g flour;
- - 150 g butter;
- - baking powder;
- - lemon juice;
- - sugar.
Instructions
Step 1
The first step is to prepare the pears. Cut them in half and cut into slices full length, you do not need to cut very thinly, as they will need to be blanched and they can turn into a puree.
Put the chopped pears in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, add a spoonful of honey to boiling water.
Step 2
Brush the edges of the baking pan with a little butter and sprinkle with sugar. Place pears on the bottom.
Step 3
Break 4 eggs into a deep bowl and beat. Add flour and stir until smooth. Put 150 g of softened butter in the mass, a small amount of baking powder (with the addition of lemon juice), 2 tablespoons of honey.
Mix everything with a mixer.
Step 4
Place the dough in a baking dish on top of the pears. Place the pie in the oven at 180 ° for 20-25 minutes. Check that the cake is cooked by poking it with a toothpick or skewer. If the toothpick is dry, then the pie is ready.
Remove the cake from the oven, cover with a plate and flip it over with a brisk motion.
