It is necessary

  • - 3 kg of zucchini;
  • - 3 kg of sugar;
  • - 0.5 kg of dried apricots;
  • - 1 lemon.

Instructions

Step 1

Wash the zucchini, remove the peel and other inedible parts, clean out the grains and fibers. Some housewives do not clean grains from young fruits, this is a matter of taste. It is better to take young vegetables, but their appearance does not matter.

Step 2

Cut the prepared zucchini into convenient pieces and pass through a meat grinder.

Step 3

Rinse dried apricots under running water, and then pour boiling water for 5-7 minutes. Drain the hot water, dry the berries. Grind the prepared dried apricots with a meat grinder.

Step 4

Take the container in which you plan to cook the jam. Put chopped zucchini and dried apricots in the selected saucepan, cover the food with sugar.

Step 5

Put the pot with the workpiece on gas. Bring the marrow and dried apricot jam to a boil, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon.

Step 6

When the dessert boils, reduce the gas to low and let the mixture simmer over the fire for 30 minutes.

Step 7

Wash the lemon, pour boiling water over it. This will make the zest less bitter. Grate the fruit on a fine grater along with the peel. Put the resulting mass in a saucepan. If you do not like the peculiar taste of lemon peel, then peel the fruit, and pass the pulp through a meat grinder.

Step 8

Stir the squash jam and simmer the treat over low heat for another 15 minutes.

Step 9

Ready jam can be removed from heat and poured into sterilized jars for further storage.
