Ingredients for the dough:
- 120 g semolina;
- 150 g sugar;
- 60 g poppy seeds;
- 70 g of walnuts;
- 1 egg;
- 3 apples;
- 290 ml fresh milk;
- 90 ml of sunflower oil;
- 3 tbsp. l. cocoa;
- 1 tbsp. l. flour;
- 1, 5 tsp baking powder for the dough.
Ingredients for the glaze:
- 60 g sugar;
- 150 g of dark chocolate;
- 60 g butter;
- 6 tbsp. l. fresh milk;
- 1 tsp sunflower oil (for lubrication).
Preparation:
- Pour semolina into any deep container, pour cold milk, mix and leave to stand for at least half an hour.
- After half an hour, beat the egg into the milk mass and add sugar, beat everything thoroughly until smooth, using a mixer.
- Sift flour and mix with baking powder. Grind the walnuts with a blender, knife or the most ordinary rolling pin.
- Pour unscented sunflower oil into the whipped milk mixture, add flour with baking powder, nuts, poppy seeds and cocoa. Mix everything thoroughly and beat again with a mixer.
- Wash the apples, peel and core, cut into halves and rub on a medium grater. Put the apple mass into the dough and stir in well with a spoon.
- Take a round ceramic baking dish (if possible with a diameter of 28 cm) and grease it with oil. Pour the whipped dough into a mold, gently flatten it with a spoon and send it to the oven for 40 minutes, preheated to 200 degrees.
- After this time, check the manna for readiness with a toothpick. If the manna is already ready, then it must be removed from the oven and slightly cooled.
- Pour milk for the glaze into a saucepan or stewpan. Add dark chocolate, sugar and butter to milk. Place the saucepan on the stove, and heat its contents over low heat until all components are completely dissolved.
- Pour the hot glaze over the manna and smooth with a spoon.
- Cool the finished poppy-nut manna in chocolate glaze and serve with tea, coffee or juice.
