You can buy a low-quality product now even in a good store. Especially often there is a risk of getting a fake when you buy alcoholic beverages. If it's just wine for 200 rubles, that's okay. And if you are going to buy cognac for one and a half thousand, and even as a gift! How to recognize a fake and not be deceived? There are several easy ways.

Instructions

Step 1

Take the bottle and turn it upside down. Watch for bubbles that rise up towards the bottom of the bottle: 1-2 large bubbles should rise first, followed by a few small ones at a very slow speed. Return the bottle to its normal position and turn it over again. Now watch out for drops that will drip from the bottom of the bottle. If it is one or two large, heavy drops that fall from the center of the bottom, it means that the cognac is of high quality. If the liquid flows down the side walls in a multitude of jets, then the cognac is unstable.

Step 2

Pay attention to the label. It must be glued neatly and contain all the necessary information (addresses, manufacturer's name, composition, year of production and description of the drink). All inscriptions must be made either in the language of the country of origin, or in English. Especially high-quality cognac you will recognize as follows. Turn the bottle horizontally and look through the glass at the back of the label. You will see uneven streaks of glue, obtained only when using special rollers, with which labels are glued to expensive cognacs.

Step 3

The most effective way to distinguish quality cognac is to smell it. True, here you really have to buy a bottle and uncork it first. Take an empty glass, pour in a few drops of the drink. Then turn the glass so that the drops spread along the walls, then shake off any excess liquid. You can also rub a couple of drops of cognac between your palms. You can smell good quality tobacco, pear jam, dried fruit and finally chocolate. In a good cognac, the whole range of smells will be felt alternately. If the cognac smells like chocolate, you're in luck - you've bought a really high-quality drink.
