Paella is a delicious rice-based dish. You can supplement it with anything - meat, vegetables, seafood. We suggest preparing paella with chicken hearts and prunes.
It is necessary
- - 2 cups long grain rice;
- - 500 g of chicken hearts;
- - 1 onion;
- - 1 carrot;
- - 10 pieces. prunes;
- - vegetable oil, salt, pepper.
Instructions
Step 1
Sauté chopped onions and carrots in a saucepan or skillet. Add chicken hearts. You can cut each heart in half to make it easier to eat later.
Step 2
Rinse the long grain rice (it is better not to take round rice to avoid a mushy dish). Add rice to skillet / saucepan, do not add water! Cover with a lid, heat for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Now pour 1 glass of boiling water into the bowl, stir, cover with a lid. Simmer over low heat until all the water is gone.
Step 4
When the water has evaporated, add spices and salt to taste. Pour in 1 more glass of water, cover and simmer until the rice is cooked through.
Step 5
Rinse the prunes thoroughly under running water, you can even leave them to soak for at least 10 minutes, then cut into small pieces, add to the dish five minutes before the end of cooking.
Step 6
Paella with chicken hearts and prunes is ready, you need to serve the dish hot.
