An oven is a necessary household appliance in every kitchen; homemade bread and other pastries are baked in it, meat is baked, fish and poultry are fried. But the oven is not only an integral part of everyday life, but can cause accidents. Before you start using it, you need to read the operating and safety instructions and figure out how to turn it on.
Instructions
Step 1
Before using the oven for the very first time, remove all internal equipment and wash it in warm water and a cleaning agent. When you first heat it up, you will smell a "new appliance", so the kitchen will need to be ventilated.
Step 2
To light the oven, turn the temperature control knob to the middle position and turn on the gas.
Step 3
At the same time, bring a lighted match to the burner hole or press the auto ignition button. If your oven has a gas control function, after ignition, the control knob should be held down for another 10-15 seconds, otherwise the gas control will extinguish it.
Step 4
Wait for the flame to stabilize and set the flame power to the required value. Typically, the lowest oven temperature is 150 degrees, and the highest is 280.
Step 5
If the burner flame goes out or does not ignite, then turn off the gas, wait at least a minute and try again.
Step 6
To turn off the oven, turn the control knob to position "0". The gas will be shut off and the flame will go out.
