Step 1
Pour water from the tap, pass it through any conventional filter. This removes large fractions - rust, sand and other contaminants.

Pour the purified water into a food grade plastic container. Be sure to close the container with a lid.

Place the container in the freezer of the refrigerator for 8-10 hours, depending on the volume of water. You need to calculate the volume ahead of time - by multiplying the number of family members by 1.5 (exactly 1.5 liters of melt water per day should be drunk by a person). In addition, it does not hurt to conduct several experiments in order to find out the optimal time to freeze the water. With the right time interval, you should get a block of ice, the middle of which will remain liquid.
Step 4
After removing the container from the freezer, pour boiling water over the bottom of the container and remove the ice block. Its core, as already mentioned, must remain liquid.
Step 5
Pierce the ice crust and pour out the unfrozen liquid containing harmful impurities. If the water has managed to freeze through and through, the core of the block will be cloudy, yellowish. Your task is to melt this dregs under running hot water so that not even a trace of it remains on the purest ice.
Step 6
Then leave the ice block to melt at room temperature. It is not necessary to wait for the end of the process - you can drink the water that is gradually formed during the melting of the ice.
