Loose cooked rice is one of the most popular dishes in the world. Such a product is delicious as a side dish and is good in itself. However, it takes some time for novice cooks to cook rice so that it does not stick together in a saucepan during cooking.
It is necessary
Instructions
Step 1
Measure with a kitchen scale or "by eye" the amount of rice you need. Keep in mind that 70-100 g of this cereal is usually used per serving.
Step 2
Rinse thoroughly measured amount of rice. To do this, place the grains in a large container and add 2-3 times more cold water than the cereal itself. Rinse the rice well in a circular motion and drain the water. Do this at least 2 times (culinary experts usually recommend washing the rice three to four times).
Step 3
Method 1 Pour the required amount of cold water into a saucepan, salt it and bring to a boil. Boiling water is used in an amount that is 2.5-3 times the amount of rice.
Step 4
Add rice to boiling water and let the contents of the pan simmer over high heat (or select the maximum heating value for the hotplate on the electric stove).
Step 5
Stir the rice and immediately reduce the heat to the lowest point where the boil continues. Place a lid on the pot and do not stir the rice while cooking, otherwise it may stick together.
Step 6
Cook the rice grits until tender. This time usually ranges from 15 to 25 minutes, depending on the rice itself (from its type, whether it is pre-steamed by the manufacturer or not, and other properties). If the rice is not yet ready, and the water has already boiled away, then gently using a spoon, reaching to the very bottom of the pan, move the cereal in several places and add a little hot water to the resulting depressions. Cover the pot again.
Step 7
Method 2 Pour 2 times more cold water into a saucepan than the amount of rice you measured. Salt water to taste.
Step 8
Place the washed rice in a pot of water, place the pot on the stove and bring the contents to a boil over high heat.
Step 9
Stir the rice after boiling the water and slightly reduce the heat of the burner, not bringing it to medium: let the heat be strong, but not maximum throughout the cooking process.
Step 10
Cook the rice until tender (about 20-25 minutes). Since rice grains contain a certain amount of starch, you should periodically stir this cereal during the cooking process, otherwise the rice will stick together and not be crumbly.
Step 11
Method 3: Cook loose rice in bags. To boil it, boil the amount of water indicated by the manufacturer on the pack in a saucepan (usually at least 1 liter per 1 bag containing 100 g of rice). Salt water to taste.
Step 12
Place a bag of rice in a pot of boiling water and cook over high heat for 20-25 minutes.
Step 13
Use a fork or spoon to remove the bag of cooked rice from the water, drain the excess liquid, cut the bag and place the required amount of loose rice in a plate.
