Jam pie, the recipe for which you will find below, turns out to be incredibly tender, aromatic and very tasty. For its preparation, any jam is perfect, a fairly thick jam, and if you wish, you can use finely chopped fruits in syrup.
Ingredients:
- 25 g of compressed yeast;
- 1 glass of cow's milk;
- egg white (for dough) and yolk (for lubrication);
- 3 cups wheat flour;
- 3-4 st. l. granulated sugar;
- 1 glass of jam or preserves;
- 50 g sunflower oil;
- salt.
Preparation:
- First you need to prepare the dough. To do this, heat the milk to keep it warm but not hot. Then dissolve all the granulated sugar in it and add a little salt. Next, put yeast in the resulting mixture and mix everything.
- After the yeast is activated (foam appears), pre-sifted flour is poured into them and the dough is kneaded. Then vegetable oil is added and everything is mixed well again.
- Next, the dough should be removed to a warm enough place. Do not forget to cover it with a clean napkin. Please note that a cellophane bag will not work for these purposes, as it will not allow the dough to breathe.
- After the dough comes up, knead it well. Then it is divided into 2 parts, one of which should be larger.
- Next, prepare a baking dish, grease it with oil, put the rolled dough into it (a part of a larger size). Jam is placed on top of the dough.
- After that, the second part of the dough is rolled out. It should be cut into strips that are reasonably thick. They must be placed on top of the cake. You can make a mesh or any other pattern from these strips. After that, the top of the strips should be coated with egg yolk.
- Then cover the cake with a napkin and put it away in a warm place. There the dough should rise well, as a rule, this takes at least a third of an hour. Next, you need to preheat the oven to 180 degrees and put the pie for baking. It will be ready in 35-40 minutes. The finished cake should be removed from the mold, but this should be done after it has cooled down.
