Thanks to their practicality and versatility, they have almost supplanted glass containers, becoming one of the most sought-after items in the modern kitchen. Plain plastic container
The most common plastic container on the market. It is used both for storing food in the refrigerator and for reheating food in the microwave. Many housewives use such containers for freezing berries in freezers. Advantages: they are cheap, they are sold everywhere, they come in sets of two or more pieces of different sizes. These containers take up very little space in the kitchen. They wash well, do not require special care and special detergents. Containers with sealed lids
An equally popular type of container. Like the previous type of container, it is used for storing and heating food. Advantages: their lid is equipped with a special sealing gasket, which ensures reliable adhesion to the main container. Reliable: even when tipping over, food is guaranteed to remain inside. They are undemanding to care for, with proper use they will last more than one year. Disadvantages: they are more expensive, the elastic band on the lid is very short-lived.
Snap-on containers
These containers have appeared relatively recently. They are used in the same place as both presented above. Their distinctive feature is the lid with "ears - latches". Advantages: they can safely carry or transport food and products. The volume of containers ranges from 300 ml to 4, 3 liters, so even the most demanding housewife will select the one that is necessary for herself. Disadvantages: if handled carelessly, the "ears" break off, cost an order of magnitude more expensive than usual, and are not so often found on sale.
Vacuum containers
Perhaps the most versatile of all. Due to the lack of air, and, consequently, the absence of a medium for the reproduction of bacteria, it is possible to store ready-made food in them for several days. Used for storage and heating. Advantages: You can carry anything, even the first courses. Easy to clean, do not require special storage conditions. Disadvantages: they are expensive, the size range will not surprise with its diversity.
Kebab containers
They appeared quite recently. An irreplaceable thing for those who are going on a trip, fishing or picnic. Advantages: the container is equipped with a strap and handles, which greatly facilitates the transportation of products. The side locks provide an additional guarantee of the reliability of the cover fastening. Disadvantages: The large volume requires the necessary storage space for the container itself, it is not often used.
Vegetable storage containers
They are a good alternative to a plastic bag or cardboard box. In the kitchen, they look more attractive than the above. The lid with large and dense openings will slightly increase the shelf life of fresh vegetables. Although in general, the thing is bulky and easily replaceable.
