That is, the fruit should have as little damage on the skin as possible, and be very fresh. So, for slicing we choose the freshest, ripe, but at the same time dense and elastic fruits.

Be sure to orient yourself on the cooking time of the slices. It is best to cook it just before the very arrival of guests, so that the chopped fruits have to come into contact with the air as little as possible. To avoid browning the fruit, prepare a halved lemon to drizzle over the sliced fruit.
Step 3
To cut the fruit thinly, you need a very sharp knife. Therefore, prepare the knives in advance, it is better if there are several of them. Because when working with fruits, the knives become dull very quickly on their skin, and if we just change the knives for sharper ones, instead of constantly sharpening, we will save cooking time. This is very important if you need to cook a lot of slices.
Step 4
Fruits can be cut into thin slices, slices, cubes. Serving option can be as follows: circles of apples and oranges can be laid out on the bottom of the dish, laying them in a spiral in a "turret", leaving a hole in the middle of the dish. In this hole we insert pieces of hard pears or apples cut into strips or cubes.

There is another option for slicing fruit - curly. You can cut fruits in this way using special graters, shredders, which are sold in special stores. Thanks to special devices, even flowers and other beautiful shapes can be cut out. This decorative cut is called carving.
