The watermelon season is just beginning, and you can enjoy a delicious delicacy on our tables! However, the joy will be greater from the beautiful design of this coveted summer delicacy. This is especially true when decorating holidays, especially for children! Below are the ways to decorate and serve watermelon on the table. Let it be fun on your holiday!
It is necessary
The main ingredient is watermelon. It is possible to add any fruits: grapes, kiwi and others available at the moment, or berries - blueberries, blueberries and others. You also need tools - a knife, a spoon, curly cookie cutters, skewers (umbrellas, toothpicks), a large dish and a little imagination
Instructions
Step 1
Wash the watermelon under cool running water and pat dry.
On a cutting board, place the watermelon on its side and cut it in half. At the same time, it is advisable to watch the position of the watermelon, it should not swing. We must provide a solid and reliable foundation. If you still cannot find a flat and stable surface, you can cut off a small layer of the peel with a knife.
Cut the other half of the watermelon in half more. You now have a solid base - 1/2 part watermelon, and 1/4 part for making a racing car.
Now you need to remove the watermelon pulp, leaving only the rind. A spoon or scoop works well for this.
For the drawing, use the auto template and erase-resistant markers to outline the drawing.
With a knife, you need to carefully cut out the contours of the racing car, attach the cardboard tires and secure them with buttons.
A few finishing touches: add car body stickers.
To fasten the car to the base, use a mount like a pencil, or several toothpicks firmly inserted both into the base and into the car.
The watermelon pulp must be cut into pieces or, using a small spoon, formed into balls. Mix with other fruits or berries that you have in stock and lay out beautifully in a base.
The composition can be further decorated with flags using photocopies, magazine clippings or sports stickers.
Step 2
This composition uses the same principle as the previous one. The difference is in the design.
Materials used here for decoration:
slingshot, toothpicks, cardboard to create the effect of water.
Please note that in this case the pulp is not removed from the base, and the second half of the watermelon is used to create the composition. In this regard, this composition is easier to perform.
Step 3
It is very simple to create such a hedgehog with your own hands. It is necessary to cut the watermelon above half so that one of the edges forms a muzzle, remove the watermelon pulp and turn into balls with a spoon (or simply cut into cubes).
Using grapes and toothpicks, make eyes and a nose (after cutting its shape from the bark of a watermelon). The paws also need to be cut out and simply put on a dish, or also secured with toothpicks.
Make notches with a knife along the edges of the base (imitation of needles), as well as needles on the sides. Now you need to place the chopped pulp inside by inserting a toothpick into it along the top.
Step 4
Gradually, following from simple to complex, you can learn how to create such baskets, using ordinary cookie cutters to cut watermelon pulp.
Decorative elements are attached to the base with toothpicks.
Step 5
Or you can make such a simple watermelon cake.
The watermelon is simply cut into pieces that are arranged in the shape of a cake.
It uses whipped cream, mixed berries, mint for decoration and candles.
Step 6
But this is an easy way to serve soft drinks. Of course, this refers to juices.
A special sleeve is required, which is used for beer kegs and twine for decoration.
The peel of the watermelon is cut off a little for stability. However, do not overdo it so that the pulp does not leak when you remove the pulp.
The pulp itself is removed through the hole on top.
