Decorating a salad can be kept pretty simple. If you cut the salad, then it shouldn't take long to decorate it. It's amazing how the simplest decoration changes both the look of the dish and your mood.
It is necessary
sharp knife, tomato, cucumber, radish, citrus fruits, herbs
Instructions
Step 1
Decorate salads with ornaments, flowers and carved vegetable figures. Make a simple tomato flower: take a small, dense, tough tomato, wash it, cut it into quarters on the tail side, but not completely so that all the quarters at the bottom remain connected. Spread the quarters slightly to the sides (pull down) to look like the petals of a flower.
Step 2
Cut out the ponytail attachment and the pith of the tomato, the seeds, so that only the skin and dense flesh remain underneath. Place an olive or a pitted olive in the center of the tomato, you can use a piece of some other vegetable of a contrasting color, it will represent the core of the flower. Make flower stems from green onion feathers or other greenery.
Step 3
Take a thick cucumber, wash, cut it lengthwise into rather thin plates, stylize each plate as a petal (round the lower end, sharpen the upper end).
Step 4
Make another tomato flower: take a thick, small tomato, cut it into three parts (make cuts like the Mercedes-Benz emblem), leave the part uncut at the bottom so that the petals are connected. Cut off the “tail”, clean out the core, bend the three petals down, put the flower on the salad with the skin facing up, place the “core” in the groove at the junction of the three petals: for example, a piece of radish with the white side up. Leaves and stems can be made from herbs, cucumber, green pepper.
Step 5
Put fruit salads in pineapple or orange halves, grapefruit, pomelo instead of bowls - it looks very elegant. Take a small pineapple, grapefruit, large, thick-skinned orange or pomelo, wash thoroughly, cut into two halves, peel the pulp, but so as not to damage the skin of the fruit. Fill the skins with salad.
