Step 1

Be aware that a sudden change in temperature will break the bottle. A simple physical law works - when freezing, water increases in volume, when defrosting, it decreases, but at the same time the ice breaks and takes up more space for some time than at a lower temperature.

Move the bottle from the freezer to the regular refrigerator compartment for a while - you will need to defrost it gradually. Then the bottle should be placed in a cool place and after some more time it can be left at room temperature until completely thawed.

Step 3

Remember for the future that after such a freezing-defrosting procedure, champagne becomes slightly carbonated from a highly carbonated drink, and also for some of its types, the taste is lost and weakens.

Don't open the ice bottle inside! Ice water can break through and a cold burn occurs - spend time in the hospital and do not taste a drink. It is best to wait for the champagne to defrost naturally, and if time is running out, it will be faster to go to the nearest store for a new bottle, and in the future, try to avoid more similar mistakes.

Do not put the bottle under running hot water unless you want to set off an explosion, of course. Champagne will simply break the glass. Alternatively, instead of the usual refrigerating chamber, the bottle can be dipped into a container with cold water for natural defrosting.

Use the champagne without thawing; the bottle can be cracked and broken into ice cubes. It can be used for other champagnes without diluting the drink.
