Many mothers are intimidated by the strange bluish color of breast milk. Having heard all the stories about breastfeeding and childbirth, they mistakenly believe that a bluish tint is an indicator of low fat content of milk. Supposedly, it turns out to be empty as water, and the baby does not gorge on it. In this case, some mothers immediately send their relatives to the pharmacy for milk mixtures, while others try all sorts of folk recipes to increase the fat content of milk. We hope this article clears up your doubts.
Instructions
Step 1
It is impossible to visually determine whether milk is fat or not. And the light blue tint is not a cause for panic. It's just that the baby first drinks the so-called "front" milk, which really consists of 90% water. The baby thereby quenches his thirst. After some time of active sucking, the flow of "hind" milk begins, saturated with many nutrients (including fats). That is why experts in the field of breastfeeding advise not to change breasts in one feeding period, not to limit the feeding time according to mother's request, and then not to pump. Then the baby will receive the required amount of both "front" and "back" milk and will be full and satisfied.
Step 2
You need to be as little nervous as possible and try to get as many positive emotions as possible for the feeding to be successful. Any worry and anxiety will negatively affect not only your mood, but also your baby's mood and the amount of milk. Trust in nature - breast milk cannot be “bad” by definition. In any case, the child will receive all the necessary nutrients.
Step 3
And if your baby is not gaining weight well, suffers from lack of appetite and defecates irregularly, this may mean that you may have applied it incorrectly to the breast, poorly selected feeding intervals, and so on.
Step 4
If you still feel that your breast milk is not as fat as necessary, try adjusting your diet by resorting to one of the proven folk recipes.
Step 5
Take walnut kernels and cover them with hot milk. After half an hour, you can take this mixture twice a day, but no more than a third of one glass at a time. Just keep in mind that you should not abuse this remedy, as the baby may develop an allergy to nuts.
Step 6
Half an hour before the start of the next feeding, you can drink tea with milk. However, this is also best done with caution, because cow's milk protein is not very good for a baby, as it can cause tummy pains.
