The Hiroshima cocktail is one of the most famous burning cocktails in the world. Its somewhat strange name is due to the fact that outwardly the cocktail resembles a nuclear mushroom. Despite the fact that this cocktail was invented in Russia, it quickly became known almost all over the world.

Why Hiroshima?

Cocktails are traditionally called predominantly alcoholic beverages, which include several different components. The name itself comes from the English phrase cock tail, which means "cock's tail", most likely the name is associated with the colorfulness of such drinks. In the modern world, cocktails are extremely popular in discos and bars, they are an indispensable part of a loud and fun party.

Hiroshima is one of the most famous Russian cocktails. It was invented relatively recently in one of the Moscow bars. His recipe is a variation on the B-52 cocktail theme. The only important difference between Hiroshima and B-52 is sambuca, which replaced the Kahlua liqueur.

Hiroshima is a shot drink, that is, a cocktail that must be drunk in one gulp. The ingredients are not mixed in it, they are arranged in beautiful layers. The colors of baileys, sambuca, absinthe and grenadine look very bright, resembling externally a nuclear mushroom. Hiroshima is one of only two Japanese cities to be bombed, hence the name of this cocktail.

Making a cocktail

Hiroshima contains 20 ml of Sambuca aniseed liqueur, 20 ml of Baileys cream liqueur, 10 ml of absinthe, a few drops of grenadine. The layers in the cocktail should be noticeable, clearly expressed, so the ingredients must be poured into the glass very carefully, otherwise the impression of the cocktail will be blurry. If you are going to prepare this cocktail at a party, be sure to practice in advance, not everyone is able to achieve the desired visual effect the first time.

First you need to pour into a special glass for cocktails-shots "Sambuca", after that very carefully, using an inverted teaspoon or a knife along the edges of the container, pour "Baileys" pour absinthe. At the very end, you need to add a few drops of grenadine, this heavy syrup will begin to smoothly sink through all layers to the bottom, creating the illusion of a nuclear explosion. Then you need to set fire to the absinthe, insert a slightly moistened straw into the cocktail and quickly draw in the drink. The effect of this cocktail is quite strong, we can say that it acts like a bomb, very strongly "hits the brain." This drink will appeal to lovers of exotic and thrill.
