Fish baked under a fur coat is a great option for a light and quick dinner. The versatility of this dish is that almost any kind of fish is suitable for its preparation. It is cooked in the oven with aromatic vegetables and a brown cheese crust. And if you serve it with potatoes as a side dish, it will turn out not only tasty, but also satisfying.

It is necessary

  • - any fish (for example, hake, pollock, chum salmon, pink salmon, etc.) - 800 g;
  • - onions - 2 pcs.;
  • - tomatoes - 2 pcs.;
  • - hard cheese - 150 g;
  • - lemon - 1 pc.;
  • - dried dill - 1 tsp;
  • - ground black pepper;
  • - salt;
  • - sunflower oil - 2 tbsp. l.;
  • - baking dish.

Instructions

Step 1

If your fish is fresh, then clean it from the insides, remove the tail, head, and then rinse thoroughly under running water. If the fish is frozen, then it must first be defrosted, and then rinsed and dried with paper towels. After that, cut the carcass into pieces 5 cm wide.

Step 2

In a separate small plate, combine 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper with salt and rub each piece of fish with it.

Step 3

Now take a baking dish and brush with sunflower oil. Then put the prepared fish in it and pour it with the juice squeezed out of half a lemon.

Step 4

Turn on the oven and set the temperature to 180 degrees. Meanwhile, while it is warming up, peel the onions and chop them in half rings. Cut the tomatoes into round slices and grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

Step 5

Spread the onions over the fish, put the tomatoes on top, salt and cover them with grated cheese. Lastly, sprinkle the cheese with dried dill, and then send the blank to the oven for half an hour.

Step 6

Divide the cooked fish, baked under a fur coat, in portions and immediately serve, overlaid with the remaining half of the lemon, cut into thin circles. Garnish with potatoes or rice if desired.
