Do you like juicy chicken? If yes, then adopt a very interesting way of cooking it. Namely, baking in the oven in a jar! This chicken is cooked in its own juice along with vegetables and comes out incredibly tender. In addition, the dish turns out to be dietary and very useful, because it does not require a drop of oil. And technically it is nowhere easier to prepare it. You just need to put all the ingredients in a jar and add spices. The oven will do the rest for you.

It is necessary

  • - chicken carcass - about 2 kg;
  • - large onions - 1 pc.;
  • - fleshy tomato - 1 pc.;
  • - bell pepper - 1 pc.;
  • - bay leaf - several pieces;
  • - ground black pepper;
  • - salt;
  • - turmeric - 1 tsp;
  • - glass three-liter jar;
  • - a small piece of foil.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the chicken carcass under running water, dry and chop into pieces (separate the wings and legs, cut off the thighs, and divide the breast into 4 parts). In a separate bowl, combine 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper and salt, then rub each chicken on all sides with this mixture.

Step 2

Peel the onion and cut into thick cholon rings. Remove the seeds and stalk from the bell pepper, then chop it into strips or squares. Cut the tomato into 8-10 pieces.

Step 3

When the chicken and vegetables are ready, take a 3 liter jar and place the chicken meat on the bottom (for example, start with the breast). Sprinkle it with a pinch of turmeric, lay a bay leaf, and on top form a layer of vegetables - some onions, bell peppers and a few tomato slices.

Step 4

After that, lay the chicken back down, sprinkled with a pinch of turmeric and bay leaf. Then add another layer of vegetables and so on, until all the ingredients are gone.

Step 5

When the jar is full, cover the neck with a piece of foil and secure the edges. Then place the jar on a baking sheet in a cold oven. Now turn it on and set the temperature to 180 degrees.

Step 6

The time to cook chicken in a jar depends on the type of oven. If you have a gas oven, then after 1 hour the jar with the finished dish can already be taken out. Electric ovens may take a little longer (10-15 minutes).

Step 7

When the chicken with vegetables is ready, take it out and carefully transfer it to a dish, be sure to water it with the resulting juice. Or, immediately arrange in portions and serve along with pickles and fresh herbs.
