Kiwi has long ceased to be some kind of exotic fruit for us, so it is increasingly used to prepare various salads, pastries and desserts. Kiwi jam deserves special attention, which has an amazing sweet and sour taste and a beautiful emerald hue. In addition, this delicacy is in no way inferior to fresh citrus in terms of the amount of vitamin C it contains.
Kiwi jam with apples
If you add sweet apples to kiwi jam, then it will turn out to be more aromatic and less sour.
Required Ingredients:
- 2 sweet apples;
- 8-10 pcs. kiwi;
- 200 g sugar;
- 2 tbsp. tablespoons of lemon juice.
Preparation:
Wash the kiwi, peel and cut into small cubes. Wash the apples, remove the seeds and core, and then also cut them into small cubes. Put the chopped fruits in a cooking container, add lemon juice and cook over low heat. When the fruit juice out, pour granulated sugar into a saucepan and mix thoroughly. When the jam boils and the ingredients become soft, remove the dishes from the heat. Pour the hot delicacy into sterilized jars and close the lids.
Kiwi jam with apricots
If we combine kiwi with apricots, we get an incredibly tasty and aromatic “summer” jam.
Required Ingredients:
- 1 kg kiwi;
- 1 kg of apricots;
- 2 kg of sugar;
- 1 package of gelatin;
- 2 tbsp. tablespoons of lemon juice;
- 150 ml brandy.
Preparation:
We wash the kiwi under water, remove the peel from it and cut into small pieces. Wash apricots, remove seeds from them and cut them into neat slices or cubes. We take a cooking pot and put the chopped fruit there. Add freshly squeezed lemon juice, stir the contents and place over medium heat. When the fruit mixture boils, we reduce the heating power of the burner and cook the mass for 10 minutes.
Dissolve the gelatin in water, add it to the pan to the fruit and simmer the jam for another 10 minutes, stirring continuously with a wooden spoon or spatula. Remove the finished kiwi and apricot delicacy from the heat, cool and add brandy to it.
Kiwi jam in a slow cooker
Making kiwi jam in a slow cooker is quite simple and quick - after 15 minutes you can please your household with an unusually tasty and healthy dessert.
Required Ingredients:
- 6 kg of kiwi;
- 1 cup of sugar;
- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of lemon juice;
- 1 red apple.
Preparation:
Wash the kiwis under warm water and peel them off. Cut the peeled fruits into small cubes. Wash the apple, peel it of all hard and inedible components (peel, core and seeds), then cut it into small slices or cubes.
Pour the prepared ingredients for future jam into the multicooker bowl, add sugar and lemon juice, thoroughly mixing all the contents. Leave the fruit to infuse for 10-15 minutes so that they let the juice out. We turn on the multicooker in the “Cooking” mode, setting the timer for 15 minutes. When the jam is ready, you can immediately pour it into jars or serve it chilled.
