Orange is a natural antioxidant. Dishes with it cheer up, relieve fatigue. Even the zest is useful, it contains a large amount of essential oils. Orange is found in salads, mousses, jellies, muffins and cakes.
Orange cupcake
Take 1 large orange, 150 g butter or margarine, 200 g granulated sugar, 3 eggs, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 2 teaspoons vanilla sugar, 250 g flour.
Mash butter with sugar and vanilla. Grate the orange zest on a fine grater. Squeeze juice from the pulp, about 50g. Add butter, juice, zest, flour and baking powder to the mashed butter with sugar. Knead a dough that is not too stiff.
Grease the mold with oil, fill it halfway with the dough (because the dough will rise during the cooking process). Place in an oven preheated to 180 ° C, bake for about 30 minutes.
Mulled wine "Rozhdestvensky"
You will need: 150 ml of orange liqueur, 750 ml of cahors, 1 orange, cinnamon, cloves.
Bring the cahors and orange liqueur to a boil. Remove from heat, add sliced orange and spices. Cover and let it brew for 10 minutes.
Aygun salad
Cut the smoked leg into strips, grate the green apple on a coarse grater. Cut the orange into small pieces. Divide the black grapes into halves. Marinate the onions for 1 hour in vinegar, chop finely and add to the salad in the same way. Season with mayonnaise, stir. Garnish with finely chopped parsley.
Jelly "Orange Miracle"
Take 3 oranges, half a lemon, 3 glasses of water, 1 glass of sugar, 1 tbsp. a spoonful of gelatin.
Boil water and sugar syrup with orange and lemon zest. Squeeze juice from the pulp. Add gelatin to the finished syrup, stirring constantly and not boiling. Pour in orange and lemon juice. Pour into prepared forms, filtering through cheesecloth. Cool until soft-boiled eggs.
Then place each mold in a bowl of ice water or ice, and rotate from one side to the other. The effect is that the outer layer is frozen, but a light "little road" remains inside.
Dessert "Blooming orange"
You will need: 2 oranges, 800 g of cottage cheese, 2 eggs, 6 tbsp. tablespoons of thick sour cream, 6 tbsp. tablespoons of flour, 6 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar, 1 tbsp. a spoonful of butter, salt on the tip of a knife.
Grate the orange zest on a fine grater. Squeeze juice from the pulp. Rub the curd through a sieve. Beat eggs with sugar. Add beaten eggs, orange zest, flour to the curd. Mix everything well. Roll out a layer about 0.5 cm thick. Cut out the cookies with a "flower" or "star" mold. Dip in salted boiling water. Remove with a slotted spoon when they begin to float.
For the sauce: whisk sour cream with sand, adding orange juice. Put the sauce on the dish, your dessert on it and pour with slightly melted butter (optional).
