If you prefer ham, try this original ham and cheese appetizer. The dish looks like a roll and will be appropriate as an appetizer at any celebration.
It is necessary
- - 300 g of ham;
- - 300-400 g of hard cheese;
- - 1 clove of garlic;
- - greens (dill or parsley);
- - a tablespoon of gelatin;
- - 60 ml of water (for soaking gelatin).
Instructions
Step 1
Rub hard cheese on a fine grater. Wash the greens, let them dry, and then chop. The garlic must be peeled and passed through a garlic press.
Step 2
Place the gelatin in a small saucepan and cover with cold water. Leave it for about an hour - let it swell.
Step 3
As soon as the gelatin swells, move the pan with it to low heat. Heat until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Stir constantly, but do not bring to a boil.
Step 4
Place the herbs, garlic and cheese, and the gelatin solution in a bowl. Mix the whole mass well. Spread cling film on the table and put the cheese mass there.
Step 5
Cover all this on top with cling film and roll it into a layer. The thickness of the layer should be approximately 1 cm. Roll out the cheese mass exactly to the size of the ham block.
Step 6
Place a block of ham on the prepared cheese mass and wrap it so that the whole ham is inside the cheese. Wrap the resulting product in plastic wrap and refrigerate for a while.
Step 7
When serving, remove the cling film, and cut the cheese and ham layer into slices.
