Even the most ordinary dish - be it a salad, appetizer, main course or dessert - can be given a truly festive look. It is enough to turn on your imagination and come up with an original design for the prepared delicacy. Of course, a dish can be decorated with artificial decorations, but what could be more attractive, for example, an edible flower, an animal, or a simple lettering?

Any dish - from a light snack to a fragrant hot or even jellied meat - can be decorated in exactly the same way. There is no need for pastry shavings or decorative edible beads, it is enough to decorate the dish from what is in the refrigerator. As a rule, after cooking the same salads, a lot of surplus remains. Try putting a pattern of peas or corn on the surface of a dish, soundly greased with mayonnaise. Alternatively, lay out a corn emoticon, olives can be used for the eyes and mouth.
Step 2
The dish you have prepared can be "refreshed" by sprinkling with herbs, which will also add an appetizing aroma. If the dish is fishy, try to cut fish out of salmon fillets, as an option - twist salmon slices into "buds". Such a "bud" can be held together with a toothpick. You can make a green meadow from dill or parsley. By the way, if the very idea of a meadow is attractive to you, you can decorate it with mushrooms. The glade will look more spectacular if you use mushrooms pickled in their original form, that is, without cutting. Remember that every ingredient you choose to decorate your dish must be paired with the main treat. Your digestive system is unlikely to be thrilled with the combination of mushrooms and fish. By the way, the semblance of flower buds can be made from different types of meat and sausage cuts.

If you like different sauces - ketchup, mayonnaise or mustard, try decorating the edges of the dish (if it's meat, of course) with them. Squeeze out a colorful pattern from existing sauces - the dish will sparkle with new colors. Just don't overdo it: any sauce should be used in moderation.
Step 4
Please note that from any solid vegetable - carrot, cucumber, tomato - you can cut various shapes, including voluminous ones. The task will be simplified if you purchase a special knife for cutting such jewelry. Although, a similar result can be achieved using an ordinary kitchen knife. There are also special graters with different attachments just for creating edible decorations. When using such a grater, however, the figures will be deprived of volume.
