- For the cake:
- - 225 g of Arborio type rice;
- - 75 grams of cane sugar;
- - 5 tbsp. milk;
- - 4 yolks;
- - 1 vanilla pod;
- For caramel:
- - 50 ml of water;
- - 50 g of sugar.
Instructions
Step 1
We wash the rice. Pour the milk into a saucepan. Cut the vanilla pod with a knife and pour its contents into the milk. Bring to a boil, add rice, reduce heat and cook for half an hour, stirring so that nothing burns.
Step 2
After half an hour, add sugar to the porridge and cook for another 10 minutes. Then remove from heat, cool until warm and mix with yolks.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Line the baking dish with baking paper. In a saucepan, make caramel from sugar and water: mix and heat until the mixture thickens slightly and begins to bubble. Pour the caramel into a mold, put the rice mass on top and bake for 40 minutes. Cool, turn over onto a dish, remove the paper and serve.
