Step 1

The first step is to properly defrost the shrimp. Take a colander, place the frozen product there and rinse it under running cold or warm water. Do not use hot or boiling water! After that, you need to keep the shrimp at room temperature for another 10-20 minutes for final thawing.

During this time, you can prepare for cooking. Take a saucepan, fill it with water in such a way that the entire volume of shrimp fits completely into the pan and is completely covered with liquid. Put water on fire and bring to a boil. It is necessary to add spices to the water - bay leaf, lemon juice and pepper and salt. You need to navigate to your taste. 3-5 pieces of bay leaf are enough, 10-15 ml of lemon juice is enough.

After the water has boiled, add the shrimp to it. If you have fresh frozen shrimp, then you need to cook them for about 6 minutes. If already cooked and frozen, then 3-4 minutes.

The fact that the shrimps are ready will tell you that they will begin to float. The doneness depends on the size of the shrimp. The more it is, the longer it takes to cook. Also, in finished specimens, the shell becomes transparent. At this stage, the main thing is not to digest them, otherwise the whole aroma of the dish will disappear!
