  • - olive oil - 120 ml;
  • - dry red wine - 120 ml;
  • - fresh oregano leaves - 6 tablespoons;

  • - salt - 1 tablespoon;
  • - ground black pepper - 2 teaspoons.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the tomatoes thoroughly under running water, then remove the core. Then chop the vegetables, cutting each tomato into 8 slices. If they are small, then make the pieces a little larger, otherwise everything will not fry evenly.

Step 2

Remove the husk of the onion and then cut it into small pieces. Pass the peeled garlic through a press, and finely chop the oregano leaves with a knife.

Step 3

Place the sliced tomatoes in a deep baking tray. Then add chopped onions and garlic to them, as well as olive oil, oregano and dry red wine. By the way, if you don't have wine, you can replace it with chicken broth. Season the resulting mixture with salt and pepper.

Send the resulting mass to the oven and bake at 180 degrees until the tomato slices shrink and turn dark at the edges of the baking dish. It is difficult to say the exact cooking time for the Marinara tomato sauce, but on average it is 45-60 minutes.
