Brushwood is one of the most delicious and favorite dishes of oriental cuisine. There are many ways to prepare brushwood, but I find the most delicious brushwood made according to a real Tatar recipe. Such crispy and tender brushwood will decorate the festive table and will not leave anyone indifferent.
It is necessary
- Egg - 3 pcs.
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Soda - 1 teaspoon (do not extinguish!)
- Vodka - 1/3 cup
- Sour cream - 1 tablespoon
- Flour
- Powdered sugar - 1 sachet
- Refined vegetable oil - 1 liter
Instructions
Step 1
In a deep bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, soda, vodka, sour cream thoroughly.
Step 2
After obtaining a homogeneous mass, add flour, mix well to get a thick dense dough, like on dumplings.
Step 3
Divide the dough into three portions. Take one slice of dough and roll it out thinly on a comfortable large surface. It is very important that the dough is very thin, like paper!
Step 4
Then with a sharp knife we cut the dough into strips, twist it into arbitrary figures, be sure to tightly fasten the ends together.
Step 5
Take a large saucepan with high sides (or deep fryer), pour vegetable oil into it, put it on fire. Now your actions should be very fast and accurate, do not leave the stove for a second. The oil should heat up well, you can check this by throwing a small piece of dough into the pan.
Step 6
Now dip the figurines in boiling oil for a few seconds. The brushwood turns golden almost instantly and needs to be removed very quickly! Carefully remove the figurines from the brushwood from the oil with a wide ladle with holes so that the oil immediately drains. Place ready-made brushwood on large trays to cool. You can pre-line the trays with paper towels to absorb the excess oil into the paper.
Step 7
Then do the same in turn with the second and third parts of the test.
Step 8
When serving, sprinkle the brushwood with icing sugar and arrange nicely on a wide plate.
