Whoever has tasted the real Tatar cake "Chak-chak" at least once will not be able to forget its delicious taste. And not only Tatar hostesses can easily cook chak-chak!
It is necessary
- - egg - 2 pcs.;
- - vodka or cognac - 2 tablespoons;
- - soda - ½ teaspoon;
- - salt - 1/3 teaspoon;
- - wheat flour - 400-500 g;
- - vegetable oil;
- - sugar - 2/3 cup;
- - honey - 1 glass.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse raw eggs under running water, beat them with a fork in a deep bowl, pour in vodka or brandy, add baking soda and salt. Stir well and add flour. Knead hard dough. Cover the dough with a napkin and leave for a while.
Step 2
Make a syrup. Pour honey and sugar into a small saucepan. Melt the syrup over low heat, stirring constantly and not boiling.
Step 3
Cut pieces from the dough, roll them into strips, then cut these strips into smaller strips. You can also cut into small squares, rhombuses. Fry the slices in a large amount of boiling vegetable oil, either in a deep fryer or in a deep skillet. The golden color is a sign of the readiness of the chak-chak. Remove the finished portions with a slotted spoon and transfer to a colander. Any excess oil must be drained off!
Step 4
When everything is fried, pour the finished pieces into a saucepan with honey syrup, mix gently, then put in a deep plate. After a while, turn the contents of the plate onto a flat dish. You can immediately form a cake on a plate and pour the syrup over it. Decorate the Chak-Chak cake of your choice with raisins, candied fruits or walnuts.
