This is a festive dish that is served on New Year's, and a coin is placed in one of the dumplings. The one who gets it will succeed in all deeds and undertakings.
It is necessary
- For the test:
- - 2 cups of flour;
- - water;
- - salt to taste.
- For filling:
- - 500 g of pork;
- - 400 g of fresh cabbage;
- - 100 g green onions;
- - 1 teaspoon of soy sauce;
- - 1 teaspoon of sesame oil;
- - salt to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Knead hard dough. Sift flour on the table in a slide. Make a depression in it and pour in cold water little by little. It takes so much to get an elastic, shiny mass. Thoroughly dispense the dough, roll it into a ball, cover with a tea towel or napkin and let it sit for 30 minutes.
Step 2
At this time, prepare the filling for the Chinese dumplings. Finely chop the pork and fresh cabbage with a knife. Cut the green onions into pieces. Mix all ingredients, add sesame oil and salt. Add a couple tablespoons of cold water to the minced meat for elasticity.
Step 3
Roll out the dough into an even rope approximately 2 cm in diameter and cut into small pieces. Roll each piece into a round cake. Place a tablespoon of minced meat in the middle of the tortilla. Lift all edges and pinch, leaving a small hole in the middle. The dumpling should look like a pouch.
Step 4
Place the finished dumplings in rows on a floured wooden plank, leaving small gaps between them so that the jiaozi does not stick together. Boil them in salted boiling water or in a double boiler. Serve with soy sauce.
