Indian ice cream is hiding under the name "Kulfi". There are, of course, a lot of varieties of this delicacy, but I suggest you cook it with white bread. Surprise your family and friends!
It is necessary
- - whole milk - 4 glasses;
- - bread - 1 slice;
- - corn starch - 1 tablespoon;
- - sugar - 1/4 cup;
- - cardamom - 1/2 tablespoon;
- - almonds - 10 pcs.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, remove the skin from the almonds. In fact, it is very easy to do it. Pour enough boiling water into a small saucepan and add the almonds there. Leave it there for a few minutes. After this procedure, the skin will be removed instantly.
Step 2
With bread, do this: cut off the crust from it and chop it into small pieces. Place the slices in a blender and combine with cornstarch and 1/2 cup whole milk. Stir the mixture well. You should have a smooth paste.
Step 3
Pour the remaining whole milk into a saucepan and place it on the stove. When the liquid mass boils, cook it for another quarter of an hour - the milk should be reduced by one third. Then add the bread mixture there. Cook for 5 minutes.
Step 4
After the time has elapsed, add a dry mixture of peeled almonds, cardamom and granulated sugar to the milk mixture. Stir well. Cook this mass until thickened, that is, approximately 10 minutes.
Step 5
Transfer the resulting milk mass to a suitable glass container. As it is, place it in the freezer for at least 7 hours. The ice cream should be completely frozen. Coolie is ready! Garnish with pistachios if desired.
