Well, something, but potatoes are in every home, and dishes from it are on every table. Native to America, this vegetable is used in a wide variety of dishes, right down to desserts. And how many ways there are to prepare it! Fried potatoes, boiled potatoes, baked potatoes, French fries and, of course, stew potatoes.

- For a simple potato stew recipe:
- medium-sized potatoes - 6-8 pcs.;
- pork fat - 1 tbsp;
- butter - 2 tablespoons;
- flour - 2 tablespoons;
- milk - 1/3 cup;
- ground black pepper - 1 tsp;
- salt to taste.
- For potatoes
- stewed in chicken broth:
- medium-sized potatoes - 6 pcs.;
- butter - 1/2 tbsp.;
- water - 1 tbsp.;
- salt - 1/2 tsp;
- ground black pepper - 1/2 tsp;
- chicken broth - 1 cube.
- For pot stews in a pot:
- potatoes - 2 pcs.;
- water;
- salt - 1/4 tsp;
- coconut milk - 100 g.
- For the mushroom stew:
- potatoes - 500 g;
- fresh mushrooms - 300 g;
- butter - 3 tablespoons;
- onion 1 pc.;
- sour cream - 0.5 tbsp.

Step 1
The easiest stew potato recipe
Peel and dice the potatoes, place them in a deep saucepan and put them on the fire. Add butter, salt, lard. In a small bowl, combine milk, black pepper and flour. Whisk until smooth. When the potatoes are almost ready, add the mixture to it and reduce the heat. Simmer until desired thickness.
Step 2
Potatoes stewed in chicken broth
Peel and dice the potatoes. Fill them with cold water for a while. Place all ingredients in a saucepan and place over medium heat. Once the butter has melted and the stock cubes are dissolved, add the potatoes to them. Simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes and serve.
Step 3
Potato stew in a pot
Peel the potatoes and remove the eyes and any unappetizing spots. Rinse and cut into cubes. Peel the onions, cut into cubes and place in a small container with 1 tbsp. water. Then fry it over medium heat until it's translucent. Transfer the onion to a pot, add the potatoes and salt to it, cover everything with water to cover the potatoes, and cook for about 30 minutes or until tender.
Step 4
Stewed potatoes with mushrooms
Peel the potatoes, cut into wedges and fry in oil with chopped onions. Rinse the peeled mushrooms in cold water, chop and also fry. After all the products have been fried, transfer everything to a saucepan, add a small amount of water, salt, add peppercorns, sour cream and bay leaf. Cover everything with a lid and simmer for 30-40 minutes.
If it is not possible to use fresh mushrooms, replace them with canned or dry ones (they must be boiled and fried beforehand).
