Simple Banana Jam

Ingredients:

- 1 kg of ripe bananas;

- 700 g of sugar;

- 100 ml of fresh lemon and orange juice;

- 250 ml of water.

Peel the bananas and cut them into thin, crosswise circles. Pour water into a small saucepan or stewpan and place over high heat. Pour sugar in there and bring the liquid to a boil. Boil the syrup until the loose product and gooey texture are completely dissolved. Dip the fruit slices into it so that they are evenly covered with it, reduce the temperature to medium.

Cook the banana jam for about 40 minutes until it is thick and almost smooth. As soon as it turns pink, stir in citrus juices. From time to time, remove the resulting foam with a slotted spoon or spatula. Pour the contents of the dish into sterilized glass jars and store in a cool place.

Banana Jam with Apples

Ingredients:

- 1 kg of bananas;

- 2 sour or sweet and sour apples;

- 2 lemons;

- 500 g of sugar;

- 400 ml of water.

Squeeze the liquid out of the lemons and strain it through a fine mesh sieve or several layers of gauze. Cut the peeled bananas into random slices and drizzle with citrus juice to prevent browning. Peel the apples, cut the cores and chop the flesh coarsely. Place the fruit in a blender or food processor bowl and rub into a semi-liquid puree. Pour it into a saucepan, mix with water and sugar and place on the stove. Turn on medium heat and simmer the banana jam for 30-40 minutes, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon to prevent it from burning. Store it in the refrigerator in a non-metallic container under a loose lid.

Quick banana jam with ginger

Ingredients:

- 1 kg of bananas;

- 50 g of ginger root;

- 1 lemon;

- 550 g of sugar;

- 100 ml of water.

Peel the bananas and cut them into circles or semicircles. Thoroughly wash the lemon with a sponge, wipe dry and rub the zest on a fine grater. Squeeze all the juice out of the citrus pulp, remove the seeds if necessary. Chop the ginger root. Combine everything with chopped fruit in a saucepan, cover with sugar, cover with water and boil for a couple of minutes at maximum. Mash the sweet brew with a fork or mashed potato press and cook for another 5-7 minutes at medium heat. Transfer it to a glass jar, close the lid, turn it over and let it cool in this position. That's it, the banana ginger jam is ready to eat.
