Waldorf or Waldorf salad belongs to the classic American cuisine. The salad recipe is quite simple and includes sweet and sour apples, fresh celery stalks and walnuts. The salad is seasoned with mayonnaise. It is recommended to prepare homemade mayonnaise for the salad.

- 3 stalks of celery
- 2 medium apples
- 50 g walnuts
- for mayonnaise:
- 1 egg
- 200 ml olive oil
- ½ tsp ready-made mustard
- ¼ tsp Sahara
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp water

Step 1
Peel the celery stalks and cut into thin rings.

Peel the apples and cut into cubes or strips.

Lightly chop the walnuts with a knife.

Prepare mayonnaise. Dilute lemon juice with water.

Use an immersion blender to beat the egg with mustard, salt and sugar.

Without stopping whisking, pour in the oil in a thin stream.

Beat until the mayonnaise has the desired consistency and the mass has increased in volume by 5-6 times.

Then, also in a thin stream, without stopping the work of the blender, pour in the diluted lemon juice.

Bring the sauce until smooth.

Mix all the ingredients and season the salad with mayonnaise.
