It is necessary

  • For the test:
  • - wheat flour - 250 g;
  • - butter - 100 g;
  • - sugar - 2 tablespoons;
  • - salt - 1/4 teaspoon;
  • - sour cream - 2 tablespoons.
  • Apple jam:
  • - apples - 800 g;
  • - sugar - 100-150 g;
  • - water - 50 ml.
  • Fill with poppy seeds:
  • - eggs - 3 pcs;
  • - sugar - 150 g;
  • - starch - 1 tablespoon;
  • - hot water - 2 tablespoons;
  • - steamed poppy seeds - 200 g;
  • - oatmeal - 150 g;
  • - salt - 1/4 teaspoon.

Instructions

Step 1

Grind the butter into small cubes. Then combine it with pre-sifted flour and turn into small crumbs. Add the following ingredients to the resulting mass: granulated sugar, sour cream and salt. Mix everything thoroughly and knead a soft dough. Put it in the cold for about half an hour, previously covered with cling film.

Step 2

After the time has elapsed, remove the dough and roll it out with a rolling pin so that the size of the layer matches the size of the baking sheet.

Step 3

Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees. Place the rolled dough on a baking sheet covered with a sheet of parchment and gently pierce with a fork in several places. Let it bake for about 10-12 minutes.

Step 4

In the meantime, prepare the poppy seed filling. To do this, break the eggs and separate the yolks from the whites. Combine the second with salt and beat until firm white foam. Mix the first with granulated sugar. Beat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Then add hot water and starch to this mixture. Add the steamed poppy seeds and oatmeal there. Mix thoroughly. Gradually add proteins to the resulting mass and mix until smooth.

Step 5

To make apple jam, do the following: Remove the skins from the fruits and chop them into small cubes. Place the apples in a saucepan, mix with water and granulated sugar and place on the stove. Boil this mixture until it becomes smooth, that is, for 15-20 minutes. Cool it down.

Step 6

Place the apple jam on the baked crust, evenly spreading and leveling it over the entire surface. Then lay out the poppy fill. Let the mazurek bake for about half an hour.

Step 7

Cool the finished baked goods and let it brew - this will make it much tastier. Mazurek with apples and poppy seeds is ready!
