Gingerbread cookies decorated with glaze are a tasty and pleasant souvenir. Gingerbread cookies can be presented when going on a visit, as well as simply prepared for tea.
It is necessary
- For the test:
- - 2/3 cup of liquid honey,
- - 1 kilogram of flour,
- - 1, 5 glasses of sugar,
- - 300 grams of butter,
- - 2 teaspoons baking powder
- - 4 tablespoons of cinnamon,
- - 5 eggs.
- For glaze:
- - 4 egg whites,
- - 2.5 cups icing sugar,
- - 1 teaspoon lemon juice.
Instructions
Step 1
Put honey, sugar and butter in a saucepan. Place the saucepan over low heat and heat, stirring constantly. The butter should melt and the sugar should dissolve in the honey. Make sure that the mass does not boil. Remove from heat and leave to cool slightly.
Step 2
Sift flour with cinnamon and baking powder. Add eggs to them and stir. Combine the resulting mixture with butter and honey. Knead soft dough.
Step 3
Cover the finished dough with a towel and leave for 40 minutes at room temperature.
Step 4
Roll out the dough into a thin layer and cut out the figures with molds. Place the gingerbread cookies on a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes at 180 degrees.
Step 5
Take whites for icing and combine them with lemon juice. Knead the whites with a whisk, gradually adding the icing sugar. The mass should turn out to be quite elastic and not drain from the whisk.
Step 6
Transfer the icing to a pastry syringe, paint on the gingerbread cookies and leave to set for 20 minutes.
