What types of cheeses are not sold in stores. But, unfortunately, lately it has been very difficult to find cheese without preservatives and flavor enhancers. Not all manufacturers adhere to the appropriate quality standards. If you love to cook and are open to experimentation, there is an easy and quick way to make natural processed cheese at home.

It is necessary

  • - Cottage cheese with a fat content of 9% - 0.5 kg;
  • - Large chicken egg - 1 pc.;
  • - Butter with a fat content of 82, 5% - 100 g;
  • - Soda - 1 tsp;
  • - Salt - 0.5 tsp.

Instructions

Step 1

The cheese preparation process takes only 15 minutes. You just need to remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it becomes soft. When it has softened, transfer it to a bowl. Add cottage cheese, chicken egg, salt and soda to it. In this case, we do not extinguish soda.

Step 2

The main task is to turn our mixture into a homogeneous mass. The easiest way to do this is to use a hand blender with a chopper attachment. Beat the mixture for a few minutes until all the curd lumps are dissolved. The consistency of the mass should be very similar to thick butter cream.

Step 3

We will cook the cheese in a water bath. For this we need a saucepan. And the curd mass, so that it is convenient to hold, can be transferred to a separate stewpan with a handle. Fill a pot with water and bring to a boil. Dip a saucepan into it and stir its contents until the mass thickens and becomes stretchy. This usually takes about 8 minutes.

Step 4

Pour the finished cheese into a mold and send it to the refrigerator to solidify. Such processed homemade cheese, which tastes like the famous "Yantar", will be a good help during family breakfasts.
