Marshmallow is a type of confectionery that is obtained by churning fruit and berry puree with sugar, egg white, followed by the addition of gelatin, agar, etc. It is incredibly simple to make marshmallows at home. I propose a very simple recipe for this great dessert.
It is necessary
- - apples (large) - 2 pcs.;
- - sugar - 2 tbsp. l.;
- - lemon - 1 pc.;
- - gelatin - 10 g;
- - eggs - 2 pcs.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the apples with water and bake in the oven or microwave (at maximum power for 5 minutes). The apples should be very soft. Cool it down.
Step 2
Carefully separate the apple pulp from the peel, making sure that no seeds and partitions get into the pulp. Whisk the applesauce with a blender until smooth. Add sugar to the puree and stir again.
Step 3
Put the apple mixture on very low heat, bring to a boil. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick. Cool to room temperature.
Step 4
Divide the eggs into whites and yolks. Beat the whites into a stable foam, add a couple of drops of lemon juice.
Step 5
Pour gelatin with 50 milliliters of water, leave to swell for 20-30 minutes. Then put in a water bath and cook until the gelatin dissolves (you do not need to bring it to a boil). Cool it down.
Step 6
Combine applesauce, whipped egg whites, gelatin. Mix gently. Place in pretty molds and refrigerate for 2 hours to harden. Garnish with fresh berries and mint leaves before serving. The dish is ready!
