Choose products for your masterpiece. Cheese casserole is a versatile dish. It is good because a wide variety of ingredients can be used to prepare it. Any type of meat and minced meat is perfect, you can also use chicken or fish fillets. There are recipes for cheese casserole with eggplant, mushrooms or cereals. Most often, potatoes, onions, sour cream are used for casseroles. Be sure to only need cheese and some kind of butter to grease the mold. In any case, the choice of food is limited only by your imagination and the contents of your refrigerator.
Step 2
To prepare the dish, you need to prepare a baking dish. This can be a frying pan, a deep baking sheet, or a special rectangular shape that you can find in the store. After making sure that the mold is clean and dry, slightly heat it up and smear with oil thoroughly.
Step 3
Pretreat food. Vegetables and mushrooms must be peeled, rinsed thoroughly and finely chopped. Separate the meat, chicken and fish from the bones, rinse and blot with a napkin, removing excess liquid, and then rub with spices. It is also desirable to cut them into small pieces. Sometimes the filling is pre-boiled or fried until half cooked, but you can also use raw products. Cheese is best grated or chopped in a blender.
Step 4
Fill your casserole dish with the filling. You can stack the ingredients in layers, or mix everything in advance in a separate bowl. Season the filling with a sauce consisting of sour cream with spices, herbs and, if desired, with the addition of milk or broth. Sprinkle the filling on top with a layer of grated cheese.
Step 5
Place the dish in the oven and bake at 220 degrees. The baking time depends on the ingredients you used; raw foods take longer to cook than pre-processed foods. When the cheese is golden brown, remove the casserole from the oven. Let it cool slightly and you can serve the dish on the table.
