The B-52 cocktail always makes a strong impression not only with its appearance, but also with its effect. It is said to have been created in honor of the famous American bomber. Hence the original type of cocktail - most often it is served on fire.
It is necessary
- - a glass for a cocktail;
- - a straw for a cocktail;
- - coffee liqueur;
- - cream liqueur;
- - orange liqueur or rum;
- - cocktail spoon or knife.
Instructions
Step 1
So, the main thing in the B-52 cocktail is the way it is served. Prepare a special glass.
The cocktail is served in a sherry glass or a small shot glass. You will need three types of liquors. It is in their correct sequence that the beautiful layered appearance consists. The first layer is coffee liqueur (Kahlua). Pour carefully. All types of liquor must be present in the same proportion. Before making a cocktail, be sure to chill liqueurs strongly.
Step 2
Take a special cocktail spoon, over which you will pour the other layers. If you don't have a spoon, a regular kitchen knife will do just fine. Dip the knife blade into the glass slightly at an angle so that the tip of the knife is not deeply immersed in the coffee liqueur. Slowly and carefully pour the next layer over the blade of the knife. Now that will be a creamy liqueur - Bailey's Irish Cream. It may not be possible to do this right away, but if everything is done correctly, the layers will not mix. That is why they say about such layered cocktails that they are not “mixed”, but “built”.
Step 3
The third layer is orange liqueur (Grand Marnier). Pour it in the same way - gently along the edge of a knife or the back of a cocktail spoon.
Step 4
So, the cocktail is built. The most common and original way of serving it is burning. If you are going to serve a burning B-52, replace the top layer with rum. Bring a burning match to the surface of the cocktail. Be careful - the liquor will flash quickly. Now you need to insert a long non-melting tube into the burning cocktail. If you're new to the tricky business of building layered cocktails, it's best to make the drink right away. When transferring the glass, the layers may mix. Anyone who will drink a burning B-52 needs to be very careful if he has a mustache, beard or long hair.
Step 5
If you do not want to serve the B-52 cocktail in such a risky way, there are softer ones, without setting them on fire. Build a cocktail with three ingredients - Coffee Liqueur, Baileys and Orange Liqueur. Insert a straw. The cocktail is ready.
