You can make a chocolate cake very quickly. Thanks to the coconut flakes, it will acquire an unobtrusive and delicate nutty flavor. For this recipe, be sure to take butter, sour cream and egg yolks at room temperature.

- Ingredients for the dough:
- - 200 g flour;
- - 100 g of sugar;
- - 100 g of butter;
- - 2 egg yolks;
- - 5 tbsp. spoons of sour cream;
- - 3 tbsp. spoons of cocoa powder;
- - 2 tsp baking powder;
- - 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda.
- Meringue Ingredients:
- - 160 g of coconut;
- - 100 g of icing sugar;
- - 5 egg whites;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of starch.

Step 1
For the chocolate layer, combine flour with baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder, and sugar.

Add soft butter, egg yolks, sour cream, beat everything with a mixer so that the dough resembles thick sour cream in consistency.

Line a rimmed baking sheet with baking paper, pour the dough onto it, flatten.
Step 4
Make a coconut meringue. This will require 5 egg whites, beat them with salt, add powdered sugar. Whisk until stiff.

Add coconut flakes with starch in portions, mix gently.
Step 6
Spread the protein-coconut mass on the chocolate dough, smooth the surface.
Step 7
Bake the chocolate cake at 190 degrees for 40 minutes. The meringue should brown and the cake should rise.
Step 8
Cool the finished product, cut into two cakes lengthwise, layer with any cream, decorate the cake at your discretion.
