A custom version of the classic flip-flop pie: with bananas and puff pastry!
It is necessary
- - 400 g of puff pastry;
- - a little flour for sprinkling;
- - 100 g of butter;
- - 100 g of sugar;
- - 0.5 cups heavy cream;
- - 5 bananas.
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to a temperature of 200 degrees.
Step 2
Prepare a large board to work on. Lightly dust it with flour and roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of 0.4 cm. Cut a circle 30 cm in diameter. Place with a fork, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Melt the sugar and butter in a 28 cm frying pan. Stirring continuously, keep on fire until sugar dissolves. Then reduce heat and cook light caramel.
Step 4
Heat the cream slightly and pour into the caramel. Stir and set aside from the hotplate. Let the mixture cool slightly.
Step 5
Peel the bananas, cut into 2 pieces lengthwise and line the caramelized cuts. Cover the bananas with the dough from the refrigerator, tucking in the edges, as if forming bumpers. Put in the oven for a quarter of an hour. Let the finished pie sit in the pan for 5 minutes and turn over onto a serving platter. To get the cake easier, first pry the edges with a spatula.
