Lamb marinated in pomegranate is a simple yet tasty picnic option. It is better to cook meat on the grill, then it will turn out to be more aromatic and much juicier. The main thing is to properly marinate the lamb for several days.
It is necessary
- - 800 g lamb (back);
- - 6 onions;
- - 250 ml of pomegranate juice;
- - salt, spices, pepper.
Instructions
Step 1
As you can see, many ingredients are not required, prepare them all. Peel all the onions, cut into thin, whole rings so that they can then be strung on skewers along with pieces of meat.
Step 2
Put half the onion in a small saucepan, remember with your hands, but not too much - try not to damage the rings. Rinse the lamb, cut into portions (they should be convenient to eat), compactly place the pieces of meat on the onion. Fill the rest of the onions on top, remember a little with your hands again. Pour with pomegranate juice, leave to marinate for 1, 5-2 days. If left to marinate for a shorter period, then the meat will turn out to be harsh.
Step 3
For this recipe, it is better not to take canned pomegranate juice, take natural. You can take three whole pomegranates and squeeze the juice out of them yourself, it will work out even better.
Step 4
String pieces of marinated meat together with onion rings on skewers, pepper and salt, send to the grill. You can also grill the meat on the grill, then the lamb can be cut larger. Fry the meat until tender. During the frying process, pour the strained pomegranate marinade on the meat and onions from time to time. Serve immediately while the meat is hot. Can be served with fresh vegetables.
