Often you want to cook something unusual, but it is not always clear from the name what kind of dish it will be. The French dessert blancmange is just one of such original, unusual and at the same time simple recipes. Its composition resembles panna cotta, which also includes gelatin. We will learn all the tricks of making this light and delicious dessert.
It is necessary
- milk - 1 glass;
- cream - 1.5 cups;
- sugar - 1 glass;
- gelatin - 50 ml;
- ground black brewed coffee - 150 ml.
Instructions
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine coffee, milk, sugar and, stirring occasionally, bring mixture to a boil twice. Strain using a fine sieve or double layer of cheesecloth.
Step 2
Pour in the cream and boil again. Next, you need to cool the mass. Dissolve gelatin in a glass or a cup. Use 4 tablespoons. gelatin for 0.5 cups of cold water. Leave to swell for about 40 minutes.
Step 3
Pour the coffee mixture into the swollen gelatin and mix everything well. Pour the resulting blancmange into molds and place in the refrigerator until it thickens completely.
Step 4
Garnish the frozen blancmange with chocolate chips and chopped nuts on top. The resulting dessert with an exquisite aroma and taste can be served to the table.
