If you want to add some variety to your child's menu, homemade yoghurt is a great solution! Healthy, tasty and very easy to prepare, it will become your child's favorite food.
It is necessary
-
- 1 liter of milk;
- 1 jar of yogurt;
- filling to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, choose yogurt for the "leaven". At the moment, in any supermarket, shelves are full of a wide range of yoghurts for every taste. But it is important to remember that not every yogurt is suitable for sourdough. Pay attention to the composition of the product. It should be the most natural product without artificial chemical additives, prepared according to a traditional recipe. Several manufacturers offer yoghurts prepared according to traditional Greek recipes. They are an excellent leaven. Also, when choosing yoghurt, be sure to check the ingredients for potential allergens if your child is prone to food allergies. Some of them can be encrypted. So E330 is citric acid.
Step 2
Thoroughly wash the containers with lids from the yogurt maker. Wipe them dry with a tissue, or pat them holes down on a clean kitchen towel.
Step 3
Fill each container two-thirds full with fresh milk (preferably homemade or purchased premium milk). Add one to two teaspoons of yogurt to the starter. The first time you can use commercial yoghurt, keep some of the homemade fresh yoghurt for this purpose.
Step 4
Mix thoroughly. Close the containers with lids and place in the yogurt maker. Turn it on for 6-10 hours.
Step 5
Stir thoroughly again after switching off. Add sliced fruits or berries to taste. You can add variety by adding jelly chunks, chocolate or cookies. Note that it is not necessary to put the same filling in all the jars: let each yogurt have a new taste, the child will definitely appreciate it.
Step 6
Stir and refrigerate for a couple of hours until completely cooled.
Bon appetit to you and your child!
