These small elegant French cakes, according to one of the versions, got their name because of their resemblance to gold ingots … So let such a cute "ingot" with almonds and strawberries and a cup of coffee serve as the beginning of a wonderful day!
It is necessary
- - peeled ground almonds - 80 g;
- - premium flour - 90 g;
- - icing sugar - 130 g + a little more for sprinkling ready-made cakes;
- - egg whites - 4 pcs.;
- - liquid honey - 0.5 tbsp;
- - butter - 130 g;
- - lime zest - if you prefer a slight sourness;
- - strawberries - 12 pcs;
Instructions
Step 1
Melt the butter in the microwave, let it cool slightly. Flour, ground almonds, powdered sugar and, if using, mix the zest with proteins and honey, add butter, knead, cover the bowl with foil and put in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
Step 2
We set the oven to heat up to 200 degrees. Grease 12 molds with butter and lightly sprinkle with flour. We fill in 2/3 with dough - they will rise. We cut the berries into halves and put 2 pieces in each of the forms, slightly sinking.
Step 3
We send it to the oven for 20 minutes. Sprinkle still warm cakes with powdered sugar and serve! Bon Appetit!
