Pies are a simple and affordable type of dessert that every hostess keeps in her arsenal. They are prepared for holidays and weekdays, with meat or fruit. Strawberry Pie is a great option for an easy-to-prepare meal. In winter, when there is not so much of this berry, try baking a pie with strawberries and cottage cheese.
It is necessary
-
- For the test:
- flour 2 cups;
- sugar 0.5 cups;
- margarine 1 pack;
- baking powder 1 tsp;
- yolk 1 pc.
- For filling:
- low-fat cottage cheese 250 g;
- strawberries 1 handful;
- vanillin 0.5 tsp;
- sugar 0.5 cups;
- egg 1 pc.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the dough. Take a packet of margarine and grate it. In a bowl, combine margarine, flour, sugar and baking powder. Mix thoroughly with your hands until smooth. You can also knead the dough in a food processor, but the warmth of your hands is an excellent link for all the ingredients.
Step 2
Cover the finished dough with a light towel and leave in the refrigerator for half an hour. This simple trick will make the dough more elastic, which will help you in the further preparation of the pie.
Step 3
Prepare the filling while the dough is cooling. Take loose, low-fat cottage cheese, add sugar, vanillin and one egg to it. Mix everything thoroughly. Rinse the strawberries well, get rid of the tails. Either cut it into small pieces or puree it in a blender - it all depends on your preference. Depending on the processing of the berries, you will get either a well-palpable strawberry in the pie, or its taste in a curd filling. You can also use frozen berries. Defrost them before adding to the filling, drain the liquid, and then send them to the curd.
Step 4
Add strawberries to the curd mass and move the filling.
Step 5
Take out the chilled dough, divide it into two parts, one of which should be slightly larger than the other. Roll the pieces into two layers.
Step 6
Grease a baking dish with butter and lightly dust with flour or semolina. Put the larger layer of dough in the mold, pressing it carefully. Place the filling on top.
Step 7
Cover the cake with a second, smaller layer of dough. Pinch the edges with your hands gently, not skipping areas.
Step 8
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees, put the pie in it and bake for 30 minutes. It is recommended to cool the cake slightly before serving, as the hot dough will crumble.
