Blue Lagoon is a cocktail with a stunning name and a mesmerizing turquoise color. This is a classic strong alcoholic drink, which was included in the collection of official cocktail recipes of the IBA (International Bartenders Association) back in 1961. The cocktails on the IBA list are the most popular and demanded in the world. To make the blue of the Blue Lagoon sea play in your cocktail glass, strictly follow the recipe, which is given according to the uniform standard, and do not violate the volume of the ingredients.

- filter shaker
- crushed ice
- vodka 60 ml,
- liqueur Blue Curacao 30 ml,
- freshly squeezed lemon juice or lime juice 20 ml,
- lemon
- a slice of pineapple or cocktail cherry for garnish.
Instructions
Step 1
Crush the ice. Fill a shaker three quarters full with crushed ice.
Step 2
Pour in vodka, Blue Curacao, freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Step 3
Close the shaker and shake gently for 20 seconds. Do not shake too hard to avoid foaming the drink. It will be enough to mix the cocktail lightly and cool slightly with ice.
Step 4
Filter the finished drink into two martini glasses.
Step 5
Add up to 100 ml of tonic or lemonade if desired and stir. Lemonade and tonic are not included in the classic IBA Basic Cocktail. However, such improvisation is allowed in order to dilute and soften the strong alcoholic taste of the cocktail.
Step 6
Garnish each shake with a lemon wedge, a peel spiral, a cocktail cherry, or a pineapple slice. Serve immediately.
Step 7
There are many non-classical variations of the Blue Lagoon recipes. Some gourmets add Malibu liqueur (10 ml), Cointreau liqueur (10 ml), pineapple juice (20 ml) or orange juice (20 ml) to the drink. The main thing is that the result is the heady turquoise color of the tropical lagoon!
