Step 1

Peel the potatoes and boil them in a way convenient for you. Throw the finished potatoes on a sieve and wipe. Add butter to the resulting mixture and mix everything thoroughly.

Step 2

Sift flour and mix with sugar. If you have stocked up on fast-acting yeast, add it to the flour. If they "rise" for a long time, then first dissolve them in warm milk, wait until they "reach" the required condition, and then add the resulting mass to the flour.

Step 3

Add the potatoes from the very first step and one egg. From what you have, knead the dough. Don't worry if it sticks to your hands a little - this is normal.

Step 4

Let's start baking. Grease a baking sheet with butter and begin to separate pieces about the size of a walnut from the dough. Roll out a sausage-like shape from a piece. The length of the rolled piece should be about 10 cm. Roll the resulting piece into a ring and place on a baking sheet. If at this stage the dough is too sticky to your hands, dust them with flour.

Step 5

The rings should be baked for half an hour. After that, each ring must be dipped in heated vegetable oil. Be careful, it should cover about 2/3 of the donut.

Step 6

Put the finished donuts on a paper napkin. Thus, excess fat will go away from them.
