Saganaki is a Greek dish. One of the main ingredients in this dish is cheese. Nowadays, recipes for shrimp appetizers are very popular, so we will cook saganaki with this particular seafood. And since the cuisine is Greek, we will use "Feta" cheese.
It is necessary
- For eight servings:
- - 650 g of peeled raw shrimp;
- - 400 g of tomatoes in their own juice;
- - 250 g feta cheese;
- - 2 glasses of dry white wine;
- - 2 onions;
- - 5 cloves of garlic;
- - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil;
- - 1 teaspoon of sugar;
- - pepper, salt, fresh thyme.
Instructions
Step 1
Heat some oil in a saucepan, add chopped onions, fry for about 8 minutes. Peel the garlic, chop in a garlic, add to the onion. After half a minute, add the tomatoes in your own juice (pour in the juice too), sugar. Pour in white wine. Pepper, salt at your discretion.
Step 2
Bring the contents of the saucepan to a boil, knead the tomatoes with a spoon, reduce the heat, simmer, stirring occasionally, for half an hour. The sauce should thicken during this time.
Step 3
Heat olive oil in a skillet, add shrimps, salt and pepper. Cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then place the shrimp from the pan with a slotted spoon.
Step 4
Mix the shrimp with the tomato sauce, put the dish in a baking dish, sprinkle generously with cheese on top. Place the shrimp saganaki in the oven or grill, the cheese should melt and brown.
Step 5
Sprinkle the finished dish with fresh thyme leaves, serve with fresh crispy bread and lettuce.
