We bring to your attention a recipe for making an original loaf roll with a juicy and hearty filling of boiled pork, cheese, tomatoes and herbs. Such a culinary masterpiece will be an excellent substitute for the most common sandwiches both at home and in nature.
Ingredients for the dough:
- 0.3-0.4 kg flour;
- 175 ml of water;
- ½ raw egg;
- 5 g dry yeast;
- 1-2 tbsp. l. sunflower oil;
- 1-2 tbsp. l. Sahara;
- 0.5 tsp flour.
Ingredients for the loaf roll:
- 0.5 kg yeast dough;
- 100 g boiled pork;
- 100 g of hard cheese;
- 1 ripe tomato
- ½ bunch of green onions;
- 1 tbsp. l. soy sauce;
- 1 raw yolk;
- ½ tsp Italian herbs.
Preparation:
- Combine all yeast dough ingredients in a deep bowl. Mix them, starting with water, and knead into a pliable dough.
- Leave the finished dough to rise for 1-2 hours. After this time, you will need to wrinkle it with your hands and leave it to stand for another 0.5-1 hour. Note that this yeast dough is very well stored in the refrigerator, so you can knead it in the evening, put it in the refrigerator overnight, and bake a loaf roll in the morning.
- Cut the boiled pork into small cubes or short cubes. Wash the onion feathers, shake off the water and cut into small rings. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Cut the tomato into cubes. If it is very ripe, then the pulp with seeds can be removed.
- Combine all prepared ingredients in one container, season with soy sauce and mix.
- After mixing, beat in raw egg yolk into the filling and mix again.
- After the filling is ready, you need to immediately start cooking the roll, otherwise the tomato will flow and the loaf roll will not work.
- Roll out the dough into a large round cake.
- Put the filling in one layer (0.5 cm thick) on the dough. In this case, the edges of the dough by 0.5-0.8 cm should be free from the filling.
- Roll up the roll by pinching its edges, seam and ends well.
- Sprinkle the formed roll with plenty of spices. Cut its top with a very sharp knife, imitating the stripes on the loaf.
- Leave the finished product for a quarter of an hour to rise, then carefully transfer it to a baking sheet covered with paper and send it to the oven preheated to 170 degrees for 35 minutes.
- The baking time is indicated approximately, since each oven has its own characteristics, which only its owner knows about.
- Remove the finished picnic roll loaf from the oven, cool and cut into slices.
